This guide walks you through getting started with Selank 10mg, making a nasal spray, reconstituting for subcutaneous injection, dosing, using it, and storing it. Selank is most commonly used intranasally, meaning as a nasal spray. That is the standard community format and the route most people associate with Selank.

Some people also use Selank by subcutaneous injection. SubQ can be useful when someone wants more precise syringe dosing, does not tolerate nasal sprays well, or has congestion or nasal irritation that makes nasal use unreliable.

This guide is for standard Selank, not N-Acetyl Selank or N-Acetyl Selank Amidate. Those are different versions and dosing can be different.

OPTION 1: NASAL SPRAY RECONSTITUTION

Each bottle contains 10mg of Selank in powder form. For this option, we are making a nasal spray where 1 spray = about 100mcg, assuming your spray bottle delivers about 0.1mL per spray.

Here’s what to do:

1. Add 1-2mL of sterile saline to the Selank vial.
2. Swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Let it dissolve, may take a minute or two.
3. Transfer the dissolved Selank into your sterile 10mL nasal spray bottle.
4. Add more sterile saline until the bottle reaches 10mL total volume.
5. Label the bottle with the name and date mixed.

That’s it. You now have a nasal spray where each spray is about 100mcg of Selank, assuming a standard 0.1mL spray pump.

NASAL DOSING SCHEDULE

Selank is usually gentler than Semax, but start low anyway. Some people feel calm and relaxed from it, while others can feel a little flat, sleepy, or oddly stimulated.

Simple Starting Protocol

• Days 1-3: 1 spray total in the morning.
• Days 4-14: 1 spray in each nostril in the morning.
• If needed and well tolerated, add 1 spray early afternoon.
• Common use is 10-20 days, then take a break.

At 2 sprays total, you’re taking:

• 200mcg Selank

Lower-Dose Option

For a cautious start:

• 1 spray total
• This gives about 100mcg Selank.

Higher-Dose Option

Some people use more during higher-stress periods:

• 3-5 sprays total per day
• Split morning and early afternoon if needed.
• This gives about 300-500mcg per day.

Some community protocols go higher, up to around 750-1000mcg per day, but for a simple guide, more sprays usually just means more chance of nasal irritation or weird mood effects. Start low first.

Timing

• Morning is a good starting point.
• Early afternoon is fine if splitting.
• Avoid late evening at first until you know whether it makes you sleepy or keeps you awake.
• Another simple schedule is 5 days on, 2 days off.

HOW TO USE NASAL SPRAY

1. Gently blow your nose first.
2. Shake the bottle gently.
3. Spray into one nostril while breathing in lightly.
4. If using more than one spray, alternate nostrils.
5. Wipe the nozzle and put the cap back on.

Try not to immediately blow your nose after using it.

Avoid nasal use when you are very congested, actively sick, or dealing with irritated or bloody nasal tissue.

OPTION 2: INJECTION RECONSTITUTION

Each bottle contains 10mg of Selank in powder form. You need to add liquid before you can inject it.

For injection, this guide uses 2mL of bacteriostatic water. That keeps the math simple and gives a practical injection volume.

Here’s what to do:

1. Draw up 200 units of bacteriostatic water (that’s 2mL total, or four full 50-unit insulin syringes worth).
2. Inject the solution slowly into the Selank bottle. Aim the stream at the glass wall, not directly onto the powder.
3. Swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Let it dissolve, may take a minute or two.

That’s it. You now have a bottle where every 1 unit on the syringe = 0.05mg (50mcg) of Selank. The math looks like this:

INJECTION DOSING SCHEDULE

SubQ Selank is less common than nasal Selank, but people do use it. Start low, especially if you are sensitive to mood or nootropic compounds.

Simple Starting Protocol

• First dose: 5 units (250mcg).
• Use once daily, ideally in the morning.
• If tolerated but too subtle, move up to 10 units (500mcg).
• Use for 10-14 days, then take 1-2 weeks off and reassess.

At 10 units, you’re taking:

• 500mcg Selank

Lower-Dose Option

For a cautious start:

• 2-5 units per dose
• This gives 100-250mcg Selank.

Higher-Dose Option

Some people move higher if they tolerate it well:

Higher is not automatically better. If Selank makes you flat, tired, irritable, anxious, or foggy, back down.

Timing

The basics:

1. Wipe the top of the Selank bottle with an alcohol swab.
2. Draw your dose into the syringe.
3. Pinch a bit of belly fat (or thigh), insert the needle, and push the plunger slowly.
4. Done. Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.

Disposal: I just bend the needle tip back and forth against the counter until it snaps off, toss the tip in the garbage, and throw the syringe away. It’s not biohazard.

SIDE EFFECTS

Most people start low and do fine, but Selank can affect mood and energy differently from person to person.

Possible side effects:

• Nasal burning, dryness, stinging, or irritation with nasal spray
• Mild redness, itching, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site with subQ injection
• Headache or sinus pressure
• Sleepiness or fatigue
• Dizziness
• Metallic taste or post-nasal drip with nasal use
• Mood changes or irritability
• Paradoxical anxiety, agitation, or racing thoughts, especially at higher doses
• Brain fog or feeling emotionally flat
• Sleep disruption if used too late

If anxiety gets worse, your mood feels unstable, headaches persist, or you feel oddly flat or sedated, stop and reassess.

Extra caution: Avoid use without medical guidance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have bipolar or mania history, psychosis history, significant psychiatric conditions, seizure history, autoimmune disease, or are using SSRIs, SNRIs, benzodiazepines, stimulants, mood stabilizers, sleep medications, or other psychiatric medications. Interactions are not well mapped.

STORAGE

Keep your Selank in the fridge, cold, dry, dark. Use clean technique and keep nasal spray nozzles clean.

For nasal sprays, best practice is to use within 2-4 weeks after mixing. Discard if it becomes cloudy, changes color, smells off, or you think it may be contaminated.

For injection, bacteriostatic-water mixtures are commonly stored refrigerated and used over the normal vial-use window.

Unreconstituted powder can be stored at room temperature, but the fridge is always better.
