This guide walks you through getting started with Semax 10mg — mixing it into a nasal spray, dosing, using it, and storing it. Semax is commonly discussed in the nootropic and peptide communities for focus, mental energy, motivation, and cognitive-support routines.

Semax is most commonly used intranasally, meaning as a nasal spray. Some clinic-style protocols use injections, but nasal use is the standard community format for this peptide.

This guide is for standard Semax, not N-Acetyl Semax or N-Acetyl Semax Amidate. Those are different versions and dosing can be different.

RECONSTITUTION (MIXING)

Each bottle contains 10mg of Semax in powder form. For this guide, we are making a nasal spray where 1 spray = about 100mcg, assuming your spray bottle delivers about 0.1mL per spray.

Here’s what to do:

1. Add 1–2mL of sterile saline to the Semax vial.
2. Swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Let it dissolve — may take a minute or two.
3. Transfer the dissolved Semax into your sterile 10mL nasal spray bottle.
4. Add more sterile saline until the bottle reaches 10mL total volume.
5. Label the bottle with the name and date mixed.

That’s it. You now have a nasal spray where each spray is about 100mcg of Semax, assuming a standard 0.1mL spray pump.

DOSING SCHEDULE

Semax can feel stimulating for some people, so start low and use it earlier in the day.

Simple Starting Protocol

• Days 1–3: 1 spray total in the morning.
• If tolerated: move to 1 spray in each nostril in the morning.
• Typical use is 2–4 sprays total per day.
• Use 5 days on, 2 days off, for 4 weeks, then take 1–2 weeks off.

At 2 sprays total, you’re taking:

• 200mcg Semax

Lower-Dose Option

For a cautious start or if you are sensitive to nootropics:

• 1 spray total in the morning
• This gives about 100mcg Semax.

Higher-Dose Option

Some people use more for demanding work or study days:

• 3–4 sprays total per day
• Split morning and early afternoon if needed.
• Avoid late afternoon or evening at first.

I would keep the simple guide cap at 6 sprays per day unless working with a qualified clinician. More is not automatically better. Sometimes it just makes your brain feel like it has too many browser tabs open.

HOW TO USE

1. Gently blow your nose first.
2. Shake the bottle gently.
3. Spray into one nostril while breathing in lightly.
4. If using more than one spray, alternate nostrils.
5. Wipe the nozzle and put the cap back on.

Try not to immediately blow your nose after using it.

SIDE EFFECTS

Most people start low and do fine, but Semax can be stimulating.

Possible side effects:

• Nasal burning, dryness, stinging, or irritation
• Headache
• Restlessness or overstimulation
• Anxiety or irritability
• Insomnia if used too late
• Dizziness or nausea
• Increased heart rate or blood-pressure-like feelings in sensitive users

If you feel wired, anxious, irritable, or have trouble sleeping, reduce the dose or stop and reassess.

Extra caution: Avoid use without medical guidance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, bipolar/mania history, psychosis history, significant anxiety, stimulant sensitivity, or are combining it with stimulants, antidepressants, dopaminergic compounds, or other nootropics.

STORAGE

Keep your Semax nasal spray in the fridge — cold, dry, dark. Use clean technique and keep the nozzle clean.

For nasal sprays, best practice is to use within 2–4 weeks after mixing. Discard if it becomes cloudy, changes color, smells off, or you think it may be contaminated.

Unreconstituted powder can be stored at room temperature, but the fridge is always better.
