PT-141 works differently than medications like Viagra or Cialis. Those mainly support blood flow. PT-141 is discussed for its central nervous system effects on desire and arousal.

The most predictable way to use PT-141 is subcutaneous injection. PT-141 is also used as a nasal spray in peptide communities and some clinic-style protocols, but nasal absorption is less predictable and usually requires a higher amount of peptide per use.

OPTION 1: INJECTION RECONSTITUTION

Each bottle contains 10mg of PT-141 in powder form. You need to add liquid before you can inject it.

For injection, this guide uses 2mL of bacteriostatic water. That keeps the math simple and gives a practical injection volume.

Here’s what to do:

1. Draw up 200 units of bacteriostatic water (that’s 2mL, four full insulin syringes worth, 50 units each).
2. Inject the solution slowly into the PT-141 bottle. Aim the stream at the glass wall, not directly onto the powder.
3. Swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Let it dissolve, may take a minute or two.

That’s it. You now have a bottle where every 1 unit on the syringe = 0.05mg (50mcg) of PT-141. The math looks like this:

INJECTION DOSING SCHEDULE

PT-141 can be very dose-sensitive. Start low. The most common complaint is nausea, and nausea usually gets worse as the dose goes up.

Simple Starting Protocol

• First test dose: 10 units (0.5mg).
• Use on an as-needed basis, not daily.
• Take it 45-90 minutes before anticipated activity.
• If tolerated but too subtle, try 20 units (1mg) on a different day.
• Many people land around 20-35 units (1-1.75mg).

At 35 units, you’re taking:

• 1.75mg PT-141

That matches the commonly referenced prescription bremelanotide injection amount.

Lower-Dose Option

For a cautious start or if you are prone to nausea:

• 5-10 units
• This gives 0.25-0.5mg PT-141.

Higher-Dose Option

Some people use more, but higher doses are more likely to cause nausea, flushing, headache, and blood-pressure-type side effects.

• 35-40 units
• This gives 1.75-2mg PT-141.

Do not keep stacking doses if it does not work right away. PT-141 can take time, and taking more too soon is how people end up nauseous and annoyed instead of having a good night.

The basics:

1. Wipe the top of the PT-141 bottle with an alcohol swab.
2. Draw your dose into the syringe.
3. Pinch a bit of belly fat (or thigh), insert the needle, and push the plunger slowly.
4. Done. Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.

Disposal: I just bend the needle tip back and forth against the counter until it snaps off, toss the tip in the garbage, and throw the syringe away. It’s not biohazard.

OPTION 2: NASAL SPRAY RECONSTITUTION

PT-141 nasal spray is used in the peptide community, but it is less predictable than injection. Nasal absorption varies by person, spray bottle, nasal congestion, technique, and concentration.

Because nasal absorption is weaker and less predictable, nasal PT-141 usually needs a higher amount per use than injection.

Practical 2mL Nasal Mix

This option makes a stronger nasal spray and works best with a small nasal spray bottle that can hold about 2-3mL total volume.

Here’s what to do:

1. Add 1mL of sterile saline to the PT-141 vial.
2. Swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Let it dissolve.
3. Transfer the dissolved PT-141 into your nasal spray bottle.
4. Add more sterile saline until the bottle reaches 2mL total volume.
5. Label the bottle with the name and date mixed.

With 10mg PT-141 in 2mL, each standard 0.1mL spray is about 0.5mg PT-141.

More Dilute 5mL Nasal Mix

If your spray bottle needs more liquid to work properly, you can mix to 5mL total volume instead.

With 10mg PT-141 in 5mL, each standard 0.1mL spray is about 0.2mg PT-141.

This version is easier to spray from many bottles, but it can require a lot of sprays to reach a meaningful nasal amount.

HOW TO USE NASAL SPRAY

1. Gently blow your nose first.
2. Shake the bottle gently.
3. Spray into one nostril while breathing in lightly.
4. If using more than one spray, alternate nostrils.
5. Wipe the nozzle and put the cap back on.

Try not to immediately blow your nose after using it.

Avoid nasal use when you are very congested, actively sick, or dealing with irritated/bloody nasal tissue.

SIDE EFFECTS

PT-141 side effects are usually temporary, but they can be noticeable. Start low the first time.

Common or possible side effects:

• Nausea, the big one, especially at higher doses
• Facial flushing or warmth
• Headache
• Vomiting
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Fatigue or sleepiness
• Yawning
• Tingling or unusual skin sensations
• Nasal irritation, burning, congestion, or post-nasal drip with nasal spray
• Temporary blood pressure increase or heart-rate changes
• Injection-site redness, itching, bruising, or tenderness with injection

Less common but important:

• Darkening of skin, gums, freckles, or moles, especially with frequent use
• Mood changes, irritability, or feeling overstimulated
• Prolonged unwanted arousal or erection

Stop and reassess if nausea is strong, blood pressure feels off, you get chest pain, severe headache, faintness, shortness of breath, or an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours.

Extra caution: Avoid use without medical guidance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, known cardiovascular disease, significant heart-risk history, kidney or liver disease, or are using nitrates, blood-pressure medications, erectile-dysfunction medications, hormone therapies, or other sexual-performance compounds.

PT-141 may also slow stomach emptying and may affect how some oral medications are absorbed. Be careful combining it with prescription medications.

STORAGE

Keep your PT-141 in the fridge, cold, dry, dark.

For injection, bacteriostatic-water mixtures are commonly stored refrigerated and used over the normal vial-use window.

For nasal sprays, best practice is to use within 2-4 weeks after mixing. Keep the nozzle clean and discard if the liquid becomes cloudy, changes color, smells off, or you think it may be contaminated.

Unreconstituted powder can be stored at room temperature, but the fridge is always better.
